This is the step-by-step procedure to root Sprint Galaxy S4:
  • Download and unzip the cf-auto-root package on your desktop.
  • Run the Odin3-v3.07.
  • Power off your phone and boot it into download mode, press and hold the Volume Up+Home+Power buttons simultaneously. Further hit the Volume Up to continue.
  • Connect your Galaxy S4 to PC via the USB cable
  • Check that Odin detects your phone.
  • Click on the PDA button and select the tar.md5 rooted kernel image from the folder.
  • To initiate the rooting process for Sprint Galaxy S4 hit the START button.
  • This will now install stock recovery and SuperSU.
  • When rooting process is completed, Odin should give you, PASS!! message and your phone will also automatically reboots.
  • Cheers!! Your Galaxy S4 is now successfully rooted.
If in case you get this error “Unfortunately SuperSU has stopped working”, then Open the Google Play Store app and install SuperSU which should fix the issue.
